USPTM has an immediate opportunity for a Receiving Specialist who will be responsible for:

  • Operate a heavy-duty forklift to safely offload and transfer master coils/slit coils
  • Inspect the coils by doing visual and measurement tests
  • Process paperwork and enter accurate information into the system
  • Maintain inventory by identifying and labeling the correct information
  • Storing coils in appropriate areas

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently offload and transfer master coils.
  • Carefully evaluate deliveries by comparing purchase orders with packing lists, ensuring the correct quantity of the items and inspect the coils for any possible mislabeling and defects by conducting visual and measurement tests.
  • Process all information through the system accurately, while keeping up with receiving tasks.
  • Maintaining inventory by identifying and labeling the correct information.
  • Maintaining records of shipping documents and receiving documents.
  • Assist Slitter line by locating the master coil for production and feeding the line.
  • Work as a team and assist team members with necessary tasks.
  • Understand coil specifications and Slitter line capabilities.
  • Develop and support continuous improvement ideas and projects.
  • Continual lifting and pushing throughout the shift may be required 10-50 lbs. (team lifting required for over 50lbs).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in operating forklifts to handle heavy material
  • 1+ years Industrial manufacturing experience or equivalent in related field preferred
