US Premier Tube Mills (USPTM) is a leading and growing domestic supplier of residential galvanized and powder coated pipe dedicated to quality, on-time delivery, and excellent customer service.

USPTM has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician.

This individual will use his/her knowledge of mechanical, power, and control systems to support plant processes.

This position requires knowledge of process control equipment, power distribution, and at least two years' experience as a maintenance mechanic/tech in a manufacturing plant setting.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and improve electrical components, equipment, products, machinery and/or systems.
  • Ability to read ladder logic and troubleshoot using electrical schematics
  • Maintain local and national electrical codes as required
  • Preform preventive and routine maintenance for all equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using PLC
  • Assist in mechanical and electrical related projects to improve productivity
  • Work effectively across all levels of the plant organization, individually and with cross functional team
  • Ability to troubleshoot High Frequency Induction equipment
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot VFD (variable frequency drives)

Qualifications

  • Two plus years' experience as a maintenance mechanic/technician
  • Experience working in a manufacturing plant setting. Roll form mill experience a strong plus
  • Proficient in PLC Programming and machine troubleshooting
  • Proficient with A.C. and D.C. motors and controls, 480 VAC
  • Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and cooling systems
  • Knowledge with reading schematics; electrical, P&ID's
  • Meticulous with sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with limited instruction or direction
  • Strong communications skills
  • MS Office software and MS Excel in a functional level
